Clearly Microsoft is aiming at real developers

MS already has a beta plug-in for Visual Studio 2005, but it's no longer supported, guess they want to finish Orcas (VS 2007). I have been using it just for code, the designer is still early beta, yet it has great WPF XAML intellisence support.

I believe this is only the beginning of a much larger push, they have a large pipline of tech coming out this year.

Good time to be a developer...
