New RIA perhaps Web 3.0 in Town?
Hi All,

On the 2nd of January a posting was added to theserverside.com in a out of the way discussion group. It gave a simple link to a simple page that had some images of a new RIA.
Within a day and after nearly a thousand hits from all over the world reuqests started coming in to write blogs. Also, withing two days Microsoft headquarters scanned for every single piece of data it could get from the site not knowing the author's focus was on the RIA not html at the time.

The link is:
http://www.myuniportal.com/january_02.htm

The jpegs need to be expanded in IE since it chops up (rescales) the image to make it fit IE. So expand it or save to disk and use a viewer to get the detail.

There is not much info yet on it but there are a couple of interesting world firsts not mentioned like the fact it is the first RIA in java to provide browser functionality and the server transaction response time was sub-nanosecond. It uses web services and its focus is on giving kids the most advanced web system in the world.

RIA is hopefully here to stay this time.

Regards,
-Tony
