@Ryan, It must be hard taking crap from so many developers out there who respond harshly when they hear things, even predictions, that they don't like.

Developers who are very good at what they do tend to limit their vision to their skill set. They have a lot of time and effort involved in it and it probably makes them a pretty fair income. So anything that might come along and threaten that is patently absurd, so they think.

But that isn't how the market works. To put it simply, everything, especially technology, evolves. In 5 years nearly everyone will either be out of the business or using a different IDE or programming language, platform, whatever. What you are doing right now will not last 5 years.

So I'm sorry that you have to put up with people lashing out at your for not lavishing praise on their platform of choice. It's their inability to see beyond their own desktop.
