WPF / XBAP Analogs
What I think a lot of developers would like, is to create WPF/E analogs to XBAPs and stand alone WPF apps. The developers would be able to make their entire web apps more robust and sophisticated, by developing their apps almost entirely using OOP languages. I understand MS preferring not to disturb too much the programming model currently used by a lot of web developers. But I believe if MS provides the option to create the type of WPF/E applications I indicated above, a lot of web projects would move from the somewhat precarious scripting model that is now used a lot, to one that is much more robust and offers greater possibilities.

Flash provides its own (ECMA based) scripting language and some people I've talked to thought the lack of a native scripting language would hurt WPF/E.

I believe the scripting language used in Flash is there in lieu of the OOP languages present in WPF/E. In other words, elements within a Flash application are programmed to work together using a script language. However the elements within a WPF/E app are programmed to work together using one or more OOP languages.
