- Not going to be easy
- It is not easy, and many companies have already failed trying, to rearchitect a legacy software company and its technology for on demand. He will need to overcome organizational issues, a customer base, sales compensation issues, a lull in revenues while on demand is established, not to mention the change in technology. They will really need to (re)start from the beginning. Keep in mind that SaaS is not warmed over ASP, subscription licensing only, or a Web front end on a client / server application.
