- It isn't necessarily the most popular teacher, instructor or professor who gives the best courses. The balance of power has shifted too far the other way, with education becoming commodified. We've all heard the arguments, but they're true: make the courses difficult, challenge the student, test the student at the end, and reward intellect and effort. It's time to recognize that we can't all be brilliant, but that some people can be and that the system in place at the moment frustrates them, and may prevent them from achieving their full potential.
