my thoughts
"As I wrote the day that 7 launched, 'Windows 7
is just another OS.'"

An article sitting at a -1 rating (out of 33
people) as I type this, and with quite a bit of
Talkback discussion. Not exactly a shining
pillar of truth.

"Most netbooks ship with Windows XP Home
Edition, which performs relatively well on an
Atom processor, but which also lacks any sort
of reasonable enterprise features. "

While I think Win7 is decent for netbooks - why
in the world would you want to use enterprise
level features on a platform with such low
performance?

Oh - you mean the features to lock down the
computer. Okay, that's reasonable (although the
kids may disagree, lol).

Windows 7's better graphics management and
better footprint have helped it on both my main
and my netbook so far. It feels like I'm
running a system with more memory.

Boot time seems similar. Waking up seems
faster.
