House, MD
I always thought it would be neat to see similar technologies on House, MD. I.e. virtual images of live patients being displayed and manipulated on Surface PCs. I remember there was an episode in which House had to resort to looking at a video of a heart projected on a Cinema large sized screen to see an anomoly, when it is probably easier to view the video on a surface PC, and zoom in on pertinent areas.

I believe MS is planning to come out with lower cost surface PCs, making them in the reach of most everyone. I believe over time, most collaborative and other settings will have one or more of these. Also, imagine these things at air traffic control stations, and control stations of all kinds - such as on ships and submarines! The future really is touch computing!
