- RE: The new Asus e-reader looks a lot like the OLPC XO 2.0
-
I have a Kindle 1, even though I think they got many things right I still have a long list of things they could improve upon.
If book readers are going to be used for school or office they need to have personal security built in. Allow me to enter a password so that others can't snoop or do delete my data.
The K1 has an SD card slot, which was removed in the later models...it needs to return. I have only used the USB cable once to sync books because I use a USB/SD flip card and can transfer files from any computer anywhere when I have my Kindle with me. Also, this gives me additional back-up options.
I convert all of my PDF files, however I can see a benefit for native PDF support.
I have never bought a book from Amazon kindle store and most likely never will. I obtain all of my books from other sources because I am a control freak and like to know that one day when I buy a new book reader I can read all my old content...regardless of which model I choose. - Posted by: MrLoopie Posted on: 09/09/09 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
