The PC as originally designed is already dead...
... we just changed the meaning. When PC were first designed, they were stand-alone entities. Now if you were to ask 100 random PC users if they are connected to the internet, odds are pretty good that all 100 would answer yes. Even if you found one that is not, odds are good that they are on some type of LAN at least.

So depending on your point of view, either the PC is already dead, or the definition of what a PC is will morph over time as it has since its inception.
