There is a Great iPhone app that does this called Planets (Q Continuum)
There's a free iPhone app that does this and more, do a search for Planets Q Continuum in iTunes and you will find a few there. Great for when you are out and about. (For a visible planet, it calculates the angle from north and angle above the horizon based on your location)

I'm in no way connected to the application or it's author, I just thought it would be of interest to anyone that has an iPhone.
