Make the plaintiffs step up
The plaintiffs in the lawsuit should be required
by the DOJ to digitize and make available all of
the books they are seeking to prevent Google from
digitizing. I am willing to bet most of them would
drop it immediately if they actually had to do
something about making the books available. And
what standing do they have to file suit anyway, if
the rights holders are unknown or cannot be found?
