I think it is very important to support up-and-coming Linux distros, because some of them, while they lag behind the more established distros overall, do have some redeeming qualities which underscore why they came about in the first place.

In the case of Moblin, there are several netbook-related ideas coming from their camp that NBR has not addressed, at least not as well as Moblin. One thing Moblin has all over NBR is boot time. NBR isn't bad compared to other distros, but compared to Moblin it's downright snail-like. Also Moblin has some good multitasking ideas (zones work well, plus the welcome screen is very well designed to layout common tasks while also giving more detail than a simple icon can provide). And if you just look at their projects page you'll see a lot of good ideas in development.

NBR is the way to go now if you are not interested in testing and just want as a great netbook as you can get today. But if you're interested in promoting development on the netbook then you really should take an interest in what Moblin is doing. Even if Moblin does not "win out" you can bet some of its good ideas will find their way into the more established distros.
