I listened on the radio
I've always found video to be distracting when I'm trying to work, but I agree that this should have been playing in US government and history classes throughout the US, not because a particular president was being sworn in, but because a president (no matter who he is) was being sworn in. People don't have to like him and don't have to have voted for him, but it was still important to witness the event and hear what he had to say.

This doesn't mean everyone is going to agree with everything that goes on in the coming months and years (that never happens), but it we can resolve to back the president when he's right, oppose him civilly and constructively when he's wrong, and give him the benefit if the doubt when we're not sure, then we'll all be better off than we've been the last 16 years.

The sniping has gone on far too long. It needs to stop.
