Apple has to do something with Job's or Not
Apple has abandoned education, plain and simple.

We helped build Apple and now that they are flush with
cash and have made gains in market share, they don't need
us anymore.

Being such an innovative company that is constantly
developing new technologies and manufacturing
techniques, one would think they could find a way to make
an affordable educational desktop and laptop (netbook)
and still make a profit on it.

There are no excuses.
