I first heard about the Classmate "convertible" late last fall. We've been using tablets at my school for several years and have just started using them 1-1 with students. This Classmate looked worth considering, so I contacted the company. To my surprise, they let me check out an early prototype for a few days (with the assistance of my 4th grader). Very impressive. Since then, I've also gotten to play with a preproduction model. If all goes well, I should have a production model to test later this month. I can't wait to have kids try them in classes. First impressions have been VERY favorable
