Still just wrong ...
Go downtown and look at how many people are carrying something in one hand and using their phone in the other and then ask that question again.

I'll be sure to count the hundreds of iPhone users who can double-tap zoom in that rare case, who when both hands are free, can go back to using the vastly superior multi-touch zoom.

Yes, because when reading physical books, spreading the page with your fingers works fantastically well!

No, of course not, but I can turn the pages with my scroll wheel!

Of course you can't address the actual argument, that the hand gestures are more intuitive to make something bigger or smaller than moving a scroll wheel is. If I want to communicate to someone that I only want half a cup of coffee, for example, would I be more inclined to make a pinching motion with my fingers, or would I search the table for the nearest scroll wheel?

Yes, because when I use 1 finger on a piece of paper, it doesn't move, but that second finger is just the strength I needed to now move it! Your examples are getting more ridiculous and desperate.

I'll be more clear so that your tiny little mind can understand. Single touch moves the mouse pointer around following the movement of your finger. Pretty intuitive. Multi-touch moves the document around in the same intuitive fashion, following the motion of your fingers. Get it?

The scroll pad monstrosity controls a scroll bar which is an unnecessary archaic construct.

Just as I thought, not a single productivity app in that whole bunch. Glad to see you admit that multi-touch is a toy.

You don't speak for me, so don't even try to put words in my mouth, since all you can seem to write are nonsense and lies.

The first app on my list is not a toy. It's a musical instrument. As to your "argument", I pity you that you think "productivity apps" are the only valid pieces of software.

Having said that, the iPhone is a great productivity device, and a great game device. I can't help if primarily game designers are the only ones creative enough to use multi-touch to its fullest advantage.

However, it is a revolutionary interface and it will take time for developers to begin thinking in new terms. Of course, you are entirely incapable of a new or creative thought, as is revealed by every one of your posts.
