Whitelist.
With one home office and 100 branch offices, they all go through two different Squid proxy servers to hit the Internet. I have a file, named white by the way, that contain the URL's they are allowed to hit. It would be nice to think I could trust employees not to abuse the Internet but the temptation is just too great.

The biggest advantage to this approach is absolutely no viruses or trojans get to my network.

It was a little tricky getting the bosses to use the proxy. But when I had to clean viruses off the big bosses machine, he quickly agreed it was a good idea and now we all use the whitelist. No more viruses since that day.
