No ideology please.... it doesn't help.
Good heavens.... all of a sudden this topic is becoming a capitalism versus communism discussion. That doesn't help at all.

Better to keep our heads cool and both our feet on the ground.

What can be done to help poor children to become educated in digital technology? Something that will benefit not only them, but also society as a whole. And it will further economic growth as well.

As I pointed out in the first Talkback to this blog, for the hardware and the software no financial investment is needed. For the internet access, a collective deal with a partial subsidy may be helpful.

The school district is in a position to negotiate favourable conditions with an internet access provider. On top of that, the subscription cost of internet access can be partially subsidized. This could probably be very effective.
