Can you trust kids with a Kindle?
I agree with you for the most part. An electronic book or ereader would be good for looking up information to reference. The drawback I see is the price tag of the kindle, and if someone breaks it, how are they going to continue doing the course work? Unless you keep 20 of them on hand at the school and distribute at the beginning of class and receive them at the end of class this may not be practical.

Two things need to happen. First, they need to make ebook readers cheaper, below $100. Second, they need to improve screen reading technology so the fonts look nice. When it comes to reading I much prefer a paper book over anything electronic at the moment.
