Not sure about the whole pledge idea.
I in no way have any clue about the actual state of ethics in the recycling business; but if I pledge to not export to developing countries, and instead export to, say, a company in Germany, and then THEY export to Ghana, am I a bad guy? And if I don't do that in order to maximize my company's profits, am I then ethically challenged in the American definition of business ethics; and should I then be fired for not doing my job?

Just wondering what the rest of you think...
