The new OpenSUSE 11 has an education software source
You may want to check out the new OpenSUSE 11 (released yesterday): it has an education software source which you can turn on easily. happy

Important new feature: Yast has become a whole lot faster.

It's standard long term support makes it interesting for Ed Tech: every OpenSUSE version gets 2 years of updates:

By the way: I think we need to move on beyond the nasty Microsoft-Novell pact. OpenSUSE is still Linux and making important contributions to the development of Linux. Including kernel development.

Greeting, Pjotr.
