The rock
Freedom of speech is the mother of all freedoms. Because by using it, you can win all the other freedoms back. It's the rock upon which our democratic political systems are built.

It destroys tyranny at every level: political, corporate, educational and even psychological (political correctness, for instance). And now, with the internet, both it's importance and it's impact have grown tremendously.

Therefore, extreme caution should be used when limiting it. Some limits are necessary ofcourse, but I think that the school in question overreacted. An informal reprimand would have been much more appropriate. And much more effective as well, probably.

Greeting, Pjotr.
