I'm all for programming in the same way
I'm for mathematical proofs. Proofs teach you to understand
mathematics in a very fundamental way and to force your brain
into very painful ways of thinking. However, proofs are only one
aspect of the thought process.

The danger I see with programming is the same one I see with
computers. The programming or the computer becomes the focus
instead of a tool.
