reminds me of an Esperanto fanatic
You know Esperanto? The logically designed spoken and written language that, if everyone would adopt it, would vastly improve literacy rates, worldwide communication, and understanding?

Unfortunately, the billions of people who populate this world already have languages which, while not as perfect as Esperanto, serve their needs well. They don't want to give up their languages for this idealized "perfection."

If they are more comfortable with the "imperfect" solution, and that makes the OLPC more likely to be adopted, then live with it. Here, "Esperanto" has had its chance, and if it doesn't cut it, then accept the possibility that its advantages may not have been as compelling as you think.
