We are starting to use linux as well
We are starting to use linux as well in our private school in Miami. One computer in the teacher loungue and two in the library run Ubuntu 7.10 and Kubuntu 7.10 because the computers hardware just could not handle Symantec Endpoint Protection + WinXp. Another reason for switching our 2 library computers to Kubuntu was the KDE Kiosk tool that gave us the ability to pretty much lock down the computer to prevent student misuse.

Our internal server runs Linux with Samba to provide Windows Domain authentication (and server storage fro the teachers). However we use Samba with tdb backend because I just could not make the LDAP backend work.
