- RE: The firewall is a little restrictive, don't you think?
-
We use SonicWall and as a developer, I have to say that it sucks. It seems to think that most articles on MSN contain mp3's and block the pages. It blocks photos of things like Al Gore getting an award. It regularly blocks me from going to tech sites for development videos and even blocked a website that Microsoft routed me to for SilverLight beta development. The site was blocked for pornography, no less. I realize that it is necessary to block downloading porn and illegal music, but this makes me feel like I am trying to access the Internet from inside Iran. I guess the guys who set up the auto-downloaded blocked sites for SonicWall must be part of the Religious Right and view everything as pornographic or illegal.
Just my two cents. - Posted by: jonnjonnzdnet Posted on: 02/28/08 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
