No -- K-12 is about preparing kids for the future.
Given that only 30%, if that, of children will go on to college, the computers in schools should represent what is being used in the workplace.

The choice of PC vs. Mac is simple. What will help them get a job when they leave? What will they need to know in technology skills to compete the market place?

Given Apple's tiny market share, schools should be places to train the workforce of tomorrow, and not the idealogical testbed to social change.

In short, don't ask the teachers!

After all, those who can, do. Those who can't, teach!
