We will see the Intel Classmate evolve and add features that are
appropriate for grades 1-6 and also 7-12. But, Intel needs to decide they are going to produce it themselves, or completely hand it off to manufactures and get out of it.

In any regard, we are going to see a race to make the cheapest, but powerful enough, feature rich laptop motherboards.

We already have a winning display technology as used on the OLPC.

And, hopefully this will spawn a wide range of small internet devices (UMPC if you like) with adult sized keyboards, mesh networking, sunlight readable displays, low power usage, long battery life, etc. And, of course at price points of $300 or less!!
