The Intel Classmate is a better solution. Besides, rather than G1G1, the BETTER choice is to just send OLPC $400 and deduct it from your federal taxes. If you believe in OLPC, that is the right answer. If you don't, then contact the 501(c)3 of your choice and donate to them. Tis the season.

BTW, you can forget about Wal-Mart, just last week, Frys.com was offering a 3.2GHz Pentium 4 HT with 1GB of RAM and a 360GB HD for $250 (Vista included.)
