Open source platforms with Ajax
We're familiar with open source LMS like moodle, dokeos and angel and most of these use Ajax heavily. Unfortunately, there are very few products that are a perfect combination of SIS and LMS. Moving ahead, if low costs notebooks land in the hands of students, the demand from students would be one integrated system that not just maintains their records, but also all the academic content, and refreshes fast using technology like AJAX
