Good article. I thoroughly agree. Although "your mom" will probably prefer the simplicity of Ubuntu over the tweakability of Kubuntu.... happy

There is one thing you can do, though, to improve readability: put the conclusion (the "home message" in the last paragraph) on top.

Perhaps in bold type, to emphasize it's importance. Then the sequel functions as an elaboration of that statement, and the reader is kept on track.

By the way, that's the way the ancient Romans used to structure their speeches, and it still works fine! happy
