Low maintenance
Nice article! Wise of you to acquaint your children with Linux. In my home, my children only have access to the internet when they boot Xubuntu on their dual-boot ancient PIII's. Consequently, that's the only OS they ever boot.

And dad never has to worry about them installing spyware, adware, viruses and other nasties...... Ubuntu (in all it's flavours) is very low-maintenance. Which is pleasant for lazy me.... happy
