My daughter had a MySpace account that I was well aware of. When she was murdered last February I was able to seek out friends of hers that I knew by name only. It has been a great comfort to me and my family to be able to share stories and pictures of Jennifer that were new to us.
It's also served as a great tool to spread the message about how she was killed in order to prevent others from suffering the same fate. She was a high school Senior and was murdered by an ex-boyfriend.
Many are unaware of the prevalence of Teen Dating Violence and MySpace has helped us to spread the word more easily than we could have done on our own.
