Yeah, in terms of IT courses, you don't really need anything too rigorous in high school and, as far as programming goes, any good programmer knows that if you know one programming language learning another one is no big deal. (It is amazing what you can do with Fortan and a little ingenuity!) These course should be electives for technology-oriented students.

Of course, knowing how to use 'Office' tools (brand x, for all I care) is more valuable than 'typing class' was when I was in school and these skills make any high school graduate immediately employable in most any office setting.
