7/Vista incompatible "Drivers" on XP mode
My otherwise perfectly working HP printer, Logitech webcam, and an analog microphone failed to work with Vista since the hardware vendors won't provide updated drivers while the older ones resulted in BSODs. Can these be made to work by installing the drivers into XP mode? I guess though that I will need to install the applications needing this hardware into the XP mode, which means that the applications outside of XP mode cannot access these.

I am still confused if XP mode is a full-blown VM since if so, how do they get the windows of applications running on XP mode appear like normal windows running on the host OS! If not, why does it need as much space as full XP installation.
