Linux is OK because it is free.
But I would not pay for it just so I could spend the extra time required for me to administer it.

I run 8 Linux servers that run great until they hiccup. Then trouble shooting is a nightmare. I have not been able to move to it as a desktop because my apps do not come ported for Linux.

Linux has so far to go to be main stream that I just don't see it happening.
