tried it and was lucky that it uninstalled .... slow is being nice ... it took over 20 seconds to switch to a blank tab with 4 other tabs open .. my normal home page setup has 4 pages open and then a blank tab ... IE7 may have taken a second or two to switch to the blank tab

But biggest issue was it kept giving me default search engine errors could never get IE8 to stop
despite several attempts to configure Google toolbar and or default search engine
The good news ... it forced me to try Mozilla Firefox and it is now my default browser ... faster than IE7 and has all the features IE8 is trying to get setup at beta testers expense
