RE: An IE8 Beta 2 Q
Well, I'm in a real bind - I can't uninstall for said reasons (beta 1, SP3, beta 2) which is a small irritation, and one I decided I could live with. But.... beta 2 fails to even open on my system! It blinks and closes, no messages are given, nothing, zilch, nada. So, my machine is now effective rid of IE, and I'm 'stuck' with Firefox 3 - which, BTW, is truly awesome, and I was only looking at IE8 to see what chance, if any, Microsoft might have of dragging me back. Given that beta 1 was not a place I chose to spend very much of time, they'd have had to done some great new stuff in beta 2 to pull me back, and now I can't even try it! I refuse to risk hosing any of my other systems, given the problems I've had on this system. (typed in via a Firefox browser window, on said hosed system).
