Safari crashes all the time, but hardly after the last update.
It crashes especially for me after 5000 or so page loads over many weeks with
many tabs and windows on the screen; that's after lagging and hanging and
overheating on 1?2 GB of virtual memory. I don't know how FireFox is.
Internet Explorer on XP flaked out after 1000 or so, two years ago; I don't
know how it is today.

I crashd TextEdit a few times too; there was a webpage in my email thas could
crash (quit) Safari and TextEdit when loaded; and TextEdit seems to crash on
mingled formats.

Safari no longer draws over the background when I hide the tabs; and the
navigation in a PDF doesn't work if I hide the toolbar.
