Every iTunes update breaks my Linx phone message app
I use a service called Linx for phone messages. The messages are retrieved via browser - the links should open WMP but each and every iTunes update breaks this and resets the MIME type to the Quicktunes plugin. I could live with that if Quicktunes could play the messages (it can't play them).

1. Why is apple messing with my IE browser setup without even asking me?
2. Why does my iTunes security update have to come with Quicktunes?
3. This aggressive behaviour by Apple has cost me hours of time to learn what it's breaking and now I have to refer to a sheet of instructions on how to revert my browser setup every time iTunes updates itself.
