Can you completely remove IE from Windows and it still function properly? You can completely remove Safari from OS X and it will. How many times did you have to reboot Windows during it's updates? Lost count didn't you. Safari is in no way integrated into OS X the way IE is integrated into Windows.

No, you have a choice to install Safari on Windows or not, Microsoft didn't give you that same choice with IE. I'm not saying I agree with their approach, but Apple is not even in the same ballpark as Microsoft.

The fact that Microsoft was ramming IE down Windows users throats and locking out competitors was what the Anti-trust lawsuit against Microsoft in the late 90's was about. You are old enough to remember that are you not? No matter how you spin it, you cannot change the facts history.

"Please show me where I can buy an OS X system from an OEM with something other than Safari configured as the default browser. I can't, Apple makes sure of that!"

I can't, your right. However, at least they are not going through great lengths to prohibit competitors from installing something else, like Microsoft did. Microsoft even went as far as forcing Apple to make IE the default browser in OS X until Apple wrote Safari, by threating to pull Office for Mac.

Not even close. Just like the poor marksman you are, you just keep missing the target.

Thanks NonZealot for proving your the Windows Fanboy everyone on here already knows. And do everyone a favor, go and get some remedial computer history training.
