Hooray for the POSITIVE! Same Here! - I have had no problems from Day one (Before SP1) and now with SP1 I would not trade this VISTA Ultimate w/service pack 1 for ANY system. I have never understood all the complaints. I am running DELL XPS Generation 5 w/4GB 64 bit OS and consistently get 4.8 Index (before and after SP1). I have never seen a blue screen Loading and shutdown is FAST Programs load fast and run effeciently. IE is MUCH MUCH faster with SP1. Copying is Much Much Faster with SP1. What is there to complain about?? It baffles me. I suppose it is the same people who complain with each OS update and don't keep their computers clean and working and we never hear from thousands of people like me who never have problems? People need to understand computers are not like kitchen appliances where you just flip a switch or plug it in and it keeps working without any attention. You need to know how to maintain and keep up a computer (simple and easy built-in tasks. Maybe you folks with problems are overlooking this?
