Vista slow to boot?
I don't think so. Snaps up on the screen faster than XP did. Recommend a clean install over the upgrade route. Using an NVidia 7950GT which is much better then the 6600 I was using at time of first install. No doubt about it Vista requires high end equipment to function well. Feed it the goodies and it performs. No money for the good stuff stick to XP.
