"With the TiVo DVR, whatever you programmed in last takes priority." From context I think you mean that this happens with the Time Warner SA DVR, since on a TiVo by default new SPs get the *lowest* priority and if there is a conflict you're asked if you'd rather have it take the highest.

BTW, even though your old TiVo is dead, since it has lifetime it is worth something. People will buy fried lifetime units on eBay to do their own repairs and either keep, or resell them. Or you might hold onto it in case TiVo ever offers another lifetime transfer promotion.

And you paid $70 for the WiFi adapter? Ouch! Amazon sells them for $40.

And now with the TiVo HD you have even more features than you did with your old model. Sounds like you ended up with the best solution. happy
