Master joe Says...Again
I don't dispute that open source is used in commercial ways. What I am saying, however, is that you cannot really call it "open" source, and then use proprietary in the same sentence. I don't disagree at all with there being commercial platforms, built on open source technologies. RHEL is the first example, which came to mind. My only question, then, is this. If open source components are used to build proprietary applications in the cloud, what makes them any different from the Google, Amazon, IBM, and Microsoft Clouds, other than that they are not developed by the same team?
