Just Switch to Linux
I believe Microsoft is intentionally buggy. It's a great way to make money. All they need to do is collude with anti-virus vendors, charge continuing service fees, and make your victims return to your site every "update day." If the intent is to make money, and Microsoft has so many lawyers and so much money that the US Government can get bought by them, just intentionally write buggy code with predicably broken software, and with a smug look on your face, say, in one way or another, "Sue me, I can afford it." Even smaller companies, like Superlative, Inc., where I used to work, house criminals that will do that. Even pathetic little Amir Segal of Superlative said something like that right to my face when he was giving one of his talks in late 2005: "If I hear any more of this from either one of you again, I'll cut both your salaries. If you don't like it, sue me, I can afford it. Trust me." In other words, "don't argue, do as I say, or perish." If Microsoft can say that to the government, it will work on consumers just as easily as it works on captive employees, dependent upon corporate slave wages.

Switch to Linux. Linux invites hackers to attempt to locate security flaws. Linux is inherently less flawed, and most often free of charge. You cannot count on secure software from a very greedy Microsoft when there's so much of a financial incentive to provide anything but. If you look at where the money is with Linux, the more money that is conjured up and made available to Microsoft for routinely making consistently-insecure software, the more of an incentive there is for a stable, robust, free, secure operating system to be housed in your company like Linux, or one of the many open source Unix-family operating systems out there that you can actually go as far as to prove (or disprove) security for. You can always count on sociopathic capitalist greed to do anything it takes to make more money.
