Could Twitter become the next PayPal?

RE: Could Twitter become the next PayPal?: While there would certainly have to be additional layers of security, I think this is a possible scenario...assuming Twitter is able to dominate it's renegade Fail Whale.

However, I don't see why PayPal can't step into that arena. They are just one mobile widget away from being able to meet that need. After all, we can email people money right now using PayPal.
