Great Idea, But Be Careful
With Facebook allowing search engines to spider the site, a few privacy doors will open. In my own opinion, this is a great idea! You can search for long-lost high school friends; your old college roommate; or co-workers from a previous job. So what's the problem?

Did you know that more and more employers are digging up information on you before they make any hiring decisions? Did you know that top colleges are "researching" their potential student body prior to admission"? Did you know that ANYTHING you have online is online FOREVER, regardless of how long it was online?

Bottom line, be careful on what you put on your Facebook (and other social networking) site. It can come back to haunt you later. Most social networking sites have privacy options on how much information you want to make entirely public. Be smart about what you place online, and double check those privacy options.
