Complexity...is it worth it?
Sometimes lower-tech is better.

I've been sharing FreeMind maps in Word for a couple of years. Most people I work with don't understand mind mapping techniques, but they do understand an outline. FreeMind exports outline formats of the maps to Word with a simple copy and paste. Changes to the outline can be re-imported to Freemind using the same copy and paste routine in the opposite direction.

To capture an image of the actual map to use as a graphic in Word, I use the ever-reliable SnagIT.

Based on many previous bad experiences, I always get worried when I hear of functionality based on a new Microsoft "interoperability" concept. I'll keep my fingers crossed and say a prayer for the MindManager team and their users. ;o)
